the three factors that may limit sun exposure and therefore vitamin D synthesis is -

  • the geographical location (latitude)
  • seasons and time of the day.
  • clothing, indoor livings, and sunscreens.

in geographical locations of latitude around 40 degrees north, from November to early march there is the non-adequate amount of UVB radiations for the synthesis of vitamin D.
