Universal precautions refers to the practice ,in medicine of avoiding cantact with patients Bodily fluid by mesns of the wearing non porous articless such as medical gloves ,goggles ,face mask etc .

- universal precautions are the standard precautions ,to approach infection control from one person to other.

- it will help to prevent the transmitting of diseases From one to other.

universal precautions are:

• Hand hygiene
• gloves - wear the gloves when touching with blood and body fluids ,excretions,mucous membranes,non intact skin etc.
• facial protection.
• gown
• prevention of needle stick injury from other.
• respiratory hygiene And cough etiquette.
• environmental sanitation.
• Proper linen handling.
• safe handling of potentially contaminated equipment.
• safe injection practices.
• proper biomedical waste management.

How do we plan for early care and educational programme:

- for the early care ,we need to conduct the classess for the staff to know about the importance of universal precautions .

- provide all the protective measures to the health care providers to prevent the transmitting of infections .

- educate the health professionals and other staff members about how to use the personal protective equiments . Educate to when to use them .

- give a demo for the staff to control the transmitting of infection and protection of themselfs.

- conduct the education programmes ,especially for the school children to protect them from various diseases.

- educate the people about environmental sanitation.

educate the staff about proper handling of injections and proper biomedical waste management.

- educate about steps of hand hygiene.

- educate about handling of infectious blood and body fluids .
