The members of a population have been numbered 1-387. A sample of size 5 is to be taken from the population, using systematic random sampling. Complete parts a) and (b) below Click the icon to view a partial table of random numbers. Click the icon to view the procedure for systematic random sampling a. Apply the procedure in the popup to determine the sample (that is, the numbers corresponding to the members of the population that are included in the sample) using the provided random-number table. To use the random-number table, start at the two-digit number at the top left, read down the column, up the next, and so on. The value of k for this sample is (Type a whole number.) The sample is Type whole numbers. Use a comma to separate answers as needed.) b. Suppose that the random number chosen from the random-number table is 64 (that is, k - 64). Determine the sample. The sample is (Type whole numbers. Use a comma to separate answers as needed) Enter your answer in each of the answer boxes. 30 F6 F7

Answer #1

The members of the population have been numbered from 1-387.

So, there are total 387 members in the population.

A sample of size 5 is taken from the population.

Now according to the procedure for systematic random sampling,

First we have to divide population size by the sample size to obtain m

So ,m= 387/5 = 77.4 ~77

Now we have to draw two digit random number ,k, which is <= 77

Now the value of k for this sample is 45.

So , the sample is O. s 45, 149,al 353 . Suppose the hando m numbep cho sen from b. UpPose thre ando m the Random-numben table is Y IS 2 27 So,
