1. Find the mean, median, standard deviation, and quartiles for these data. Comparing the mean and the median and comparing the distances of the two quartiles from the median suggest that the distribution is fairly symmetric. Why?
2. In 2015, the mean score on the mathematics portion of the SAT for all college-bound seniors was 511. If the distribution were exactly Normal with the mean and standard deviation you found in part (b), what proportion of GSU freshmen scored above the mean for all college-bound seniors?
