A. According to the curve PO2 (Partial Pressure of Oxygen)of

Randy - 48mm/hg

Billy - 115 mm/hg

B. Randy's Vital shows .

There is an increase in Temperature (103.8) and Increases in WBC Value (18,000) because of Infection. I.e Pneumonia. it is the body responds to infection.

Tachycardia (HR is 136) is due to High-grade fever (103.8)

Tachypnea (RR is 48) is maybe due to fever or Body defense mechanism for desaturation (SPO2 is 80%) to acquire more oxygen.

PCO2 (Partial pressure of carbon dioxide ) is increased because of carbon dioxide retention in the lung due to COPD. There is poor expiration due to obstruction.

SPO2 (Saturation of Oxygen) is decreased because of fluid-filled air sacs and poor gaseous exchange due to Pneumonia.

Billys Vitals shows...........

Billy had a car accident so, there is blood loss that's why RBC and Hematocreat (22%) are decreased. Due to Hypovolemic shock, there is Hypotension (BP is 74/48 ).

There are Hypotension and hypovolemia that's why there is a decrease in body temperature (97.0) because blood plays a vital role in maintaining body temperature. Heart rate also slightly increased due to Hypovolemia because the heart has to pump more blood to maintain perfusion.

Other values are normal.

C. If they both have 5 lt of blood and blood normally have 200 ml of oxygen per litter then

Randy has 80% of blood saturation so, randy have 800ml of oxygen in his blood...

Billy have 100% of blood saturation so, billy has 1000ml of oxygen in his blood...
