SYMPTOMS OF STROKE -

Right side brain (normal function) In stroke

1)Control left side of the body 1) Impaired left side of body

2) Creativity and arts   2) impaired creativity and art

3) Attention span   3) short attention span

4) Ability to resolve everyday life problem 4) Unable to decision making

by " Decision Making"

5) Judgement 5) Impaired judgement

6) Memory Recall   6) disturb memory

7) Impulsive behaviour 7) Aggressive behaviour

Left side brain (normal function) In Stroke

1) Writting 1) dysgraphia (difficulty in writting)

2) Reading 2)  dyslexia ( difficulty in reading)

3) Maths and skill 3)  Impaired maths and skill

4)  planning   4) frustation / depression (coginitive

difficulty)

5) Speaking 5) Aphasia/ dysphasia

COMMON SIGN AND SYMPTOMS-

1) Ageusia - inability to taste

2) Dysarthria- difficulty in articulation of words/ speaking

3) Anosmia - absence of smell

4) Dysphagia- difficulty in swallowing

5) Hemianopsia - half vision loss

6) Hononymous hemianopsia -  Blindness occur in same half of the visual field of both eyes

7) Neglect syndrome

8) Bladder and bowel problem

9) Motor dysfunction
