Basically I am a nurse , presently working in a research team as a research nurse working on Acute leukaemia cases . Before this I was a bedside nurse in ICU. When I was studying in my fourth year many upgradation in nursing profession has been initiated . I wasn't aware that I would be the part of this new implementation . As soon as I passed my degree. I got a job in Nursing informatics department which was new to the profession and also for me who have only seen bedside care given by nurses . Here the main part was informatics and digital health record . How we can make the existing manual system more simple and digitalized according to the needs of the healthcare workers . It was a major part of our professional evolution and I experienced it . After working there I was shifted to the ICU, as in our institute there is yearly shifting of staffs . Here what was new to me was that evidence based practice is the main part . For each and every part of care evidence is asked by you which makes us learn everyday new knowledge and also provide a better care which has positive outcome . But earlier it was not the scenario , the nurse used to just give the medications , care what was written that it , nothing more .
Second thing which I saw in ICU are the new technologies being used in providing healthcare . These were the articles which made tasks mor easy and simple which were not present in earlier days . All these to provide efficient care to the patients .
