Molar mass of oxygen = 31.998 g/mol

mass of single molecule = 31.998 / (1000 x 6.022 x 1023)

= 5.3136 x 10-26 kg

Kinetic energy is given as :

K.E = 1/2 mv2

putting values :

= 1/2 ( 5.3136 x 10-26 kg) (1.5 x 103 m/s)2

= 6.0 x 10-20 J
