Solution:
One common issue found at my previous organization was for salespeople who had the job of conducting meetings with clients in their daily office schedule. This is why they had to stay out of the office for meetings. However, they had to come to the office in the morning to punch their attendance in the system without which they will not be paid. This used to make their task cumbersome to come to the office just for punching and then going back for meetings. this was a big issue and a way of wasting time and company resources. Hence, it was needed to find a solution to this issue.
The issue was identified by understanding the reviews received from the sales representatives in the monthly meetings where there were complaints about the redundancy that was attached with their punching in the office which was spoiling their meeting schedules with the clients. The problem was identified based on the reviews and then analyzed using the data for the salespeople for one moth with and without the punching to understand the productivity improvements within the sales team.
This led to the result that there was an improvement in the productivity of salespeople without punching schedule. Hence, we were successful in identifying the problem with careful analysis of the reviews and data to come up with a situation where we have a problem to solve.
