Currently large number of people in the community are affected by chronic illness. Diabetes mellitus and hypertension are the most common chronic diseases.

First of to identify the health related issues in the community, as a nurse we have to search for the problem

• Observing community
• Collecting census of the population
• Incidences of various health issues in particular community
• Collect data from the health informatics
• Even by personal experience in community

Research is the systemic investigation of solutions to the research questions.

Research helps to address the health issues in the following way:-

1. Survey method of research helps to know the morbidity rates in the particular community
2. Continuous Observation of community addresses the health issues
3. Retrospective studies determines the magnitude of the health problems in the community

Articulating a plan to collect data:-

First of all select the sample for research

Then evaluate the education status and how for they can write and study need to be analysed.
