If we missing any information about statistics (i.e. Mean height) then we say there is loss of information.

Now,we see that when the mean height =5'10"

There is some loss of information.

And,if we see that when the mean height=5'10.23416". So here we find no loss of information

So,If there is no loss in respect of information then that value is very precise.

So mean height of us mens would be more scientific if we say that mean height of us men is 5'10.23416"
