The statement is true, cost behaviour formats are not allowed in published financial statements. investors are concerned about the financial performance, that is concerned about the incomes and losses and assets and debts rather than the cost behaviour, because investors decisions depends on the basis of the overall performance of the company, that is based on the sales and profits.

cost behaviour is helpful in management decision making, that is in analysing the unnecessary, ineffective and unproductive costs and helpful in curtailing in those costs.

So, cost behaviour is helpful in decision making of management and investors has nothing to do with it, hence the statement is true.
