Validity can be defined as a property of the research, in which it measures what it is intended to measure. Validity can be examined by four levels of analysis which includes the content validity, face validity, criterion related validity and construct validity.

In the case of student’s attitude towards recreational marijuana use, it will be difficult to construct a scale it will be mainly qualitative in nature. So, the content validity with experts will be the most important validity measure can be useful in the case. We can able to make a questionnaire and can be discussed with the expert in the field of addiction, psychiatry etc. and can finalise the tool for data collection.
