Cholcechine os the drug jsed for gout pain, it is the condition where serious and severe joint pain occurs due to accumulation of the substance called uric acid in joints.

Patient education is very important while taking this drug as serious drug interacrions with cholcechine may occur. The education includes warning for consuming drugs such as clarithromycin or erythromucin with this drug as it proves to produce fatal interactions. Also the patienr musg be advised to avoid grapefruit consumtpion. Moreover, the patient should be advised to ask the doctor before starrinh any specific drugs with this drug.

Allupurinol is another effective drug in managemenr of gout, the patient taking this drug should be adviced to take the deug with a full glass of water to avoid risk of kidney stones, the patient should drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily and should take allupurinol with food if it upsets the stomach. Also on initial starting of this drug the gout attacks may worsen but will reduce as the medicine adapts.
