Ans:- Safe methods of administering oral, parenteral, rectal, optic, otic and nasal medications to children are as follows:-

Oral:- take medicine in needle less syringe, and give it to the child through that,

Parenteral :- Vastus lateralis muscle, gluteus medius muscle, deltoid muscle, through veins.

Rectal:- lubricate medicine in warm water and not with jelly,

Optic:- hold the eye and put medicine and ask the child to close or blink the eye for one minute so that it spread all over, if child is very little than we will close the child's eye for one minute.

Otic:- warm medicine at room temperature before give, keep the child lying down with the affected ear facing up,

Nasal:- hyperextend head and then put the medicine otherwise it will trickle to throat.
