Ans) Safe methods of administering oral, parenteral, rectal, optic, otic, and nasal medications to children are:

oral- take medication from needless syringe
parenteral- vastus lateralis (5/8-1in) deltoid, gluteus medius.
enteral- flush 1.5 times solution.
rectal- lubricate med w/warm water. not jelly.
optic- hold finger. 1 min. always give drops first.
otic- warm room temp before give.
nasal- hyperextend head. medication trickle to throat
e.g. hold head between legs for only person
