Answer: The autoimmune disorders occurs when the body's immune system attack it's own healthy cells. This causes some of the organ unable to function properly. Some of the autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease etc.

One of the autoimmune disease is the type 1 diabetes. In this the immune system attacks the pancreas that destroy the insulin production. This causes imbalance in the blood sugar levels as well as insulin does not produced.

The symptoms includes:

  • Excessive thirst
  • Hunger
  • Fatigue
  • Blurred vision
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting

The diagnosis includes:

  • Glycated hemoglobin (A1C) test
  • Random blood sugar test
  • Fasting blood sugar test.

The treatment includes:

  • Blood sugar monitoring
  • Medication involves insulin injections.
  • Insulin pumps are being used.
