Nursing has its scope from ancient time when Florence nightingale started her first nursing school in London. In the earlier times the women cared for the sick with even lack of resources. By the 19th century modern nursing began to spread world wide. In US attracted many women's to the nursing schools from middle and working class backgrounds. The hospital number also grew. Even the public health nurse role began and many of the private agencies employed them for the similar work. They handled various issues like prenatal, infant care and treatment and care of communicable diseases. The nightingale model came into practice a lot and even the specialisation of the women nurse increased.
The area which intrigued me is the specialisation of nurses. This can be applied today in a very effective way as the technology is advanced the role of nurse can be extended and expanded role in various speciality which provides an opportunity to have the research being implemented were by the evidence based researches can be implemented in the best practice in providing the holistic care to the patients and even the application of theories helps them to prioritise people, practice effectively, preserve safety and maintain the professionalism and trust.
When the apaecialization present in a wider range around the globe the best nursing care can be given at grass root level including primordial, primary, secondary and tertiary prevention and treatment when the specialised domain is available.
