Nursing is a profession which is purely based on art and science. In initial days the plan of care was framed using nursing process.Recent advancement has made it to one step ahead by introduction of evidence based nursing practice in 1992.Now it has been formulated to diseases like cardiovascular issues, asthma, various and numerous medical conditions and to be followed in th nursing practices.

Though it is a good progress it has affected the healthcare organization in the following way

  • If a nurse who is newly graduated has been appointed for taking care of a patient with asthma ,will be able to plan care easily with nursing process but the same will be difficult if the nurse wants to care for the patient according to evidence based practice .Lack of knowledge regarding it will affect the quality of care delivered and this will finally affect the organization name and fame.
