Elder Patients with breast cancer have larger tumor and greater lymph node involvement,comparing to younger ones..there are variations in breast cancer treatment and diagnosis which is seeking social support..older adults with cancer are more distressed if they also experience functional decline as a result of their cancer diagnosis and treatment..

Older women having fewer supportive networks than younger women.. social support is combination of emotional,tangible,appraisal and informational support..it can be formal,informal, social,professional,structured and unstructured..young woman more likely to have undergone aggressive therapies and held better physical functioning than old woman..clinicians must consider the age with mastectomy treatment..patient age is important that determinant of educational and counseling strategies..patient always need more medical information with depression and anxiety..older women may prefer treatment that maximize quality of life than younger ones..

When patient undergoing for mastectomy patient feel psychological upset support group therapy, Medcal education and coping skills training important for them to eliminate the depression..
