Conduct disorder vs oppositional Defiant disorder

Conduct disorder:- Conduct disorder typically appears in children under the age of 16, but sometimes also identified in adults .When a child disagree to follow rules and do not show empathy to others and sometimes threaten the safety of others or themselves, or involves in antisocial activities. This is form of behavioral disorder . This disorder in children is known as conduct disorder. Children with conduct disorder also have a lack of positive social engagement and emotional involvement. Conduct disorder leads to depression, bipolar disorder, or other mental health problems.

signs and symptoms of Conduct Disorder:- (1.) Social rule violation is most common behavior of children with conduct disorder. They may stay away from home late night even when it is not allowed may involve in conflicts at school.

(2.) Anti social behavior which threaten others safety or harm animals. Such as initiating physical fights or being cruel to animals or birds.

(3.)social property damage such as setting up fire or destroying social property. This is known as no aggressive behavior.

(4.) Involve in theft or blaiming others for their aggressive behavior,. Deny social interaction, breaking into someone else house or vehicle.

Conduct disorder is mostly found in boys as compared to girls. Timely observation of conduct disorder and other mental difficulties is very important because it gives child a good chance for future hope and improvements . The treatment of conduct behavior depends upon the severity of behavioral problems . The treatment can be given across different settings such as at home , at school or at community settings.

Oppositional Defiant disorder:- Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) is commonly found in child hood . Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) is behavior disorder. Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) is defined as uncooperative, irritable and annoying and defiant behaviors toward parents, caregivers, teachers and other authority figures. Oppositional Defiant disorder can most common among 1 and 16 percent of children and adolescents in the general population, but is far more common among patients with attention deficit disorder. Children with attention deficit disorder are found with oppositional Defiant disorder.
