Similarities.

LPN and RN both works directly with patients.

Due to their work they both will always be in direct contact with people.

Both are responsible for the care of people in varying degrees.

And mostly they have to be sociable.

Differences.

Education.

The LPN is to complete 1 year of practical nurse program where as RN have to complete bachelor of science and have to complete 4 year nursing program.

Work.

LPN have less duties than RN.LPN works under RN.

LPN observe symptoms and help in wound care where as RN takes orders directly from doctors and they have numerous duties.

Every professional in health care have separate responsibility towards the patients and by following the rules and guidelines they can perform utmost care to the patient which increases the quality of the care.
