These are few example of health issues related to environment. Behind each of these health issues, there is a set of risk factors associated with it. Industrial pollution is the main reason for outbreak of minamata disease to be exact Mercury poisoning. USA is highly industrialised country and may have chance of mercury poisoning of water source and then to human being.
Large number of cases of anthrax were reported earlier from USA through cattles. There may still risk to develop this infection, cattles are largely found in USA.
America is a cotton giant, and there are so many cotton factories also. Byssinosis may develop due to prolonged exposure to cotton fibres and thread. The employees working in cotton factories or farmers are at high risk to this occupational disease.
Nipah viral infection is very dangerous and mortality is very higher. Recently there had an outbreak of this viral infection in India and mortality was almost above 90%.To date, no outbreaks were reported in USA.
