Answer #1

Nursing assistive personnel (NAP) are unlicensed assistive staff member of the nursing team. RN shoud delegate the work to a NAP which is under the scope of practice like assistance with the activities of daily living, basic hygiene and comfort care .Providing discharge instructions to the parents, removing the patient’s intravenous catheter and applying a new eye patch for the patient are not within the scope of practice for the nursing assistant. Escort the patient and parents to the car can be done by a NAP.

Thus the answer is B. Escort the patient and parents to the car.
