Many companies, notably cereal manufacturers and fast food outlets, advertise heavily on children’s television programs. What do you see to be the ethical issues of advertising foods to children? Should industry practices be regulated and, if so, to what degree and why?

Advertisement in television is a form of marketing worldwide. The target group here are the childrens who cannot make a rational decision when something attractively are shown to them.

The ethical issues here are

• Children's are prone and induced to get the products
• Can change the behaviour of the child by being adamant with the parents to buy the food products
• Childrens tend to believe what they see in the screen and act similar to them
• Protecting the children from harmful products at times are difficult when they are available in a very cheap cost in the stores
• The chance of introducing products of adults are possible

The industry practices should be regulated in providing the safe food products to the children and making them an informed consumer.If going against the standards of advertisement then they can be legally sued for causing an health threat to the childrens.The food factory and companies shoukd take a toll to protect the health of the child.
