A standard insulin syringe is designedto hold 1ml of insulin,This is equal to 100 units if insulin.

In case if there is no insulin syringe,not all the syringes can be used.The only usable syringe here is the smallest syringe. This measures into three sizes

  • 3/10cc/ml can hold up to 30 units (it can be half unit marking or whole unit marking
  • 1/2cc/ml can hold between 31 to 50 units
  • 1cc/ml can hold 51 to 100 units
