#. Relevant Vital signs and their clinical significance :-

- Heart rate is above normal ( tachycardia ) in three different positions .

Tachycardia occurs when an abnormality in the heart produces rapid electrical signals that quicken the heart rate.

Etiology of tachycardia :-

Exercise, fever, anxiety, hypovolemia, anemia, pump failure, increased sympathetic tone, hypoxia, hyperthyroidism.

- Blood pressure is below normal ( hypotension ) in all three positions

Hypotension causes an inadequate flow of blood to the body organs and may cause stroke, heart attack, kidney failure, and shock if not treated.

Low blood pressure can be caused by low blood volume, hormonal changes, widening of blood vessels, medicine side effects, anemia, heart problems or endocrine problems. Reduced blood volume, hypovolemia, is the most common cause of hypotension.

- Respiratory rate is above normal range (tachypnea )

Tachypnea is a medical term that refers to fast, shallow breathing. A lack of oxygen or too much carbon dioxide in the body is a common cause.

All the three symptoms in the patient indicates that he or she might be having hypovolemic shock .
