For part B the answer above did not notice the line "Assume the finnished product has one half pound of resin" therefore to do part B correctly you take the output  divide is by 2 and you will get the ammount of resin in the output, then you use the output resin divide it by the input.


e.g. May there is 900,000 feet of resin

Amount of resin = 900,000 / 2 = 450,000 ammount of resin.

To find the ratio in part B 450,000(output resin) / 460,000(input resin)

The ratio would be 97.8%. You can do this for June and July using the same process but the appropriate numbers. The other answer in the solution above is correct.
