Case Study The Case of Nancy King, Part 3 Dr. Hite starts the Fall team meeting by sharing her frustration about this new responsibility being added to her caseload, saying, "I'm too busy with patient care throughout the facility to organize fall meetings." The team members nod but do not respond. Dr. Hite continues, saying, "Meghan, the OT has a team conference and cannot be here but we may as well get started. I know we are all busy with patients, so let me summarize the details for Mrs. Young's fall." Dr. Hite reviews the patient's medical record, summarizes the circumstances and outcomes of Mrs. Young's fall, and then says: "Does that about sum it up? Going forward we should implement the following steps ..." Dr. Hite continues looking at the medical record without pausing to see if any of the team members have additional information to share. Nancy King thinks of something but is hesitant to speak up, rationalizing that it's probably not important anyway. Discussion Questions 1.
