how to navigate the amazing maze of health care? give real life examples depending on peoples beliefs religion and habits.
Health care is a complicated system, therefore at times without the advocacy of health care providers patients feel alienated. Mobile technology innovations and phone apps helps to better connect the patient with the health care providers, as they navigate the system. This will eliminate communication gaps and better connect patients with health care providers, will provide more better treatment plans and ultimately better health outcomes. But in most cases patients often feel better when they are connected with nurses rather than with the technology. Nurses should therefore develop skills to identify the needs of the patient and advocate them.
Some patients barely speak about what they feel and what they want. It's their behavior, and often tend to open up to nurses with whom they communicate. Such a patient was Anna, she could barely stand up, and an interesting fact is she was assessed by many doctors, but nobody communicated with her. But she maintained close contact with a nurse in the unit, with whom she confided her fears. Gradually her condition improved with medicines and she started regsining her weight. She is thankful for the nurse for patiently explaining each procedure with calmness.
