ANSWER.

6) Calculation of flow rate (cc/hr).

        Formula

           Flow rate(cc/hr) = Volume(cc) /Time(hr)

    Here

           Volume(ml) = 1000 cc.

             Time(hr) = 8 hr.

   As per above formula

             Flow rate (cc/hr) = 1000 / 8

                                         = 125 cc/hr.

7) Calculation of flow rate (cc/hr).

       Formula

            Flow rate(cc/hr) = Volume(cc) / Time(hr).

    Here

         Volume(cc) = 1000 cc.

         Time(hr)   = 6 hr.

     As per above formula

              Flow rate(cc/hr) = 1000 / 6

                                        = 166.6 cc/hr.

8) Calculation of drops per min.

        Formula

            Drops per minute = Volume(cc) /Time(min) * Drop factor (gtt/cc).

Here

      Volume(cc) = 120 cc.

       Time(hr) = 60 min (1hr).

       Drop factor = 15 gtts/min.

As per above formula

    Drops per minute = 120/60 * 15

                                  = 2 *15

                                  = 30 gtt/min.

9) Calculation of drops per minute.

        Formula

          Drops per minute = Volume(cc) /Time(min) * Drop factor(gtt/cc).

    Here

         Volume(cc) = 100 cc.

          Time(min) = 60 min (1hr).

         Drop factor = 20 gtt/cc.

As per above formula

          Drops per minute = 100/60 * 20

                                        = 1.66 * 20

                                        = 33.33 gtt/min.

10) Calculation of fluid/hour.

         Formula

              Fluid/hour = Volume(cc) / Time(hr).

      Here

          Volume(ml) = 1000 cc.

            Time(hr) = 10 hr.

   As per above formula

              Fluid /hour = 1000/10

                                = 100 cc/hr.

11) Calculate drops per minute if drop factor is 20 gtt/cc.

         Formula

               Drops per minute = Volume(cc) / Time(min) * Drop factor(gtt/cc).

       Here

             Volume(cc) = 1000 cc (1L)

              Time(min) = 60 min (1hr).

             Drop factor = 20 gtt/cc.

As per above formula

Drops per minute = 1000/60 * 20

   = 16.66 * 20

                                         = 333.2 gtt/min.

12) Calculation of drops per minute.

Formula

Drops per minute = Volume(cc) /Time(min) * Drop factor(gtt/cc)

Here

   Volume(cc) = 2000 cc.

             Time(min) = 16 * 60

                               = 960 min.

            Drop factor = 20 gtt/cc.

     As per above formula

               Drops per minute = 2000/960 * 20

                                             = 2.08 * 20

                                             = 41.6 gtt/min.

13) Calculation of volume(ml) of drug and flow rate per min.

         Calculation of volume (ml).

Formula = Desired dose/Dose in hand * Quantity.

      Here

           Desired dose(D) = 1000 units.

Dose in hand (H)= 25000 units.

               Quality(Q) = 1500 ml.

    As per above formula

         Volume(ml) of drug required = D/H * Q

                                                        = 1000 / 25000 * 1500

                                                        = 0.04 * 1500

                                                        = 60 ml.

     Flow rate per min.

        Formula

          Flow rate per min (cc/min) = Volume(cc) /Time(min) * Drop factor(gtt/cc)

      Here

            Volume(cc) = 60 cc (cc=ml)

             Time(min) = 60 min (1 hr).

            Drop factor = 25 gtt/cc.

    As per above formula

          Flow rate = 60/60 * 25

                          = 1 * 25

                           = 25 cc/min.
