The molar weight of NaHCO3 is 84 g / mol.

The moles in each balloon are calculated:

n NaHCO3 = g / MM = 1.825 g / 84 g / mol = 0.022 mol

Balloon 2: 0.043 mol

Balloon 3: 0.064 mol

The moles of HCl are calculated:

n HCl = M * V = 1 M * 0.05 L = 0.05 mol

The limit reagent and the moles of CO2 it yields are determined:

a) NaHCO3 is the limit reagent. The moles of CO2 are 0.022 mol.

b) NaHCO3 is the limit reagent. The moles of CO2 are 0.043 mol.

c) HCl is the limit reagent. The moles of CO2 are 0.05 mol.

4) The size of the balloons corresponds to the amount of CO2 produced.
