First, define support groups using the text. Then, define morbidity and chronic disease using an outside source.

Next, research, identify, and describe a specific support group that was implemented with the goal of impacting a chronic disease (e.g. heart disease, obesity, cancer, etc...). Include relative statistical data to support.

Lastly, research, identify and describe another support group specific to an age group (e.g. children, adolescents, adults or older adults). What was the structure of the group (e.g. when and where did it meet; activities, etc..?) Describe the purpose and goals of the support group.

Support groups consists of members with same interests or issues that help each other with coping up strategies, share experiences and provide mental support.

Morbidity : morbidity is defined as the prevalence of disease in a given population.

Chronic disease : chronic disease can be defined as diseased condition that is long lasting. It is a condition lasting for 3 months or more and may not have a permanent cure. Chronic diseases includes diabetes, arthritis, COPD, heart disease.

Support group for cancer patients : Macmillan Cancer Support

It is a support group for cancer in UK founded by Douglas Macmillan. It helps cancer patients to interact with each other, family and friends dealing with care and share their experiences. It is charitable organisation that works to support and improve life of cancer patients, family and caregivers.

Support group for adolescent : stairways behavioural health adolescent support group

It works with adolescent population and is established in Deborah. It helps adolescent to interact with other adolescent population and share their experiences and problem. It addresses specific issues related to adolescent like academics, relationships, independence, drug abuse.
