Answer #1

1.Transformation of Health information:

Health care system is now fully occupied by the electronic system where the patient information is stored as EMR. Due to the easy accessibility, there is a lot of transformation of electronic health information across the organizations. Improper access to network and lack of upgrade of network results in misuse and leak of patient health information.

Control Measures:

Ensure proper network access and upgrade of the operating system for the safe sharing of health information. Use of antivirus protection.

2. Lack of knowledge of security threats:

Health care members are lack of knowledge of protecting patient information. Use of improper passwords, forgetting to close apps, use of multiple tabs at a time all increases the security threats. This gives a path for misuse of patient information by the third personnel. Using mobile devices increases the risk of misuse of patient information.

Control Measures:

Patient information system with proper monitoring minimizes the risk of errors. Educate the health care members about the health information and change of passwords more frequently.

3. Consumerization:

Increased use of personal devices in health care organizations increases the threat of patient information. Use of multiple devices and multiple application at a time threaten health information security.

Control Measures:

Provide security solutions to multiple types of devices, virtualized desktop for the connected devices.
