From the given experiment, it can be seen that alka setzer neutralizes the effect of acid and base.

Alka setzer behaves as a buffer because addition of acid or bases does not affect its pH. It resists the change in pH due to its buffering capacity. It contains a weak acid aspirin, sodium bicarbonate and citric acid. These ingradients are working to neutralize the effect of added acid or base.

Milk does not behave as buffer because addition of acid or base causes change in pH.
