Answer #1

1) BMI

Body Mass Index = Weight (lbs) ~ 703 [Height (in)] where 703 is conversion factor for Ibs/in2 to kg/m² BMI = 190 X 703 (54)

Adam is considered overweight since BMI for overweight is 25 to 29.9.

He is not obese based on WHO classification, since obese class starts from BMI 30 ,but he can be considered Preobese .

Healthy BMI for Adam will be 22.3 according to his body condition. Healthy weight for Adam according to his height will be 160pounds.

Adam's weight gain is due to his lifestyle. He is working in software field which is a sedentary job. Also he prefers food from outside , frozen food which further contribute to unhealthy weight gain. Also his habit of watching television for long add on to his overweight. He is having no body exercise. Also no diet control, that makes him overweight.
