A common problem with many “experts” is that they are very worried about being singled out when incorrect. For example, many professional political commentators will closely match the predictions of public opinion polls. Ans. It is a part of human behavior that we need to be correct all the time and same is the case with experts. Experts give their opinion for the public only and if they know the public opinion beforehand then they would surely tend to be inclined towards the public opinion. Policymakers most of the times consider the public opinion as trustworthy and reliable and thus they tend to incline towards it. The probability of those views getting positive response is also high.
