Ethics in nursing research can be explained as the basic principles which a Registered nurse researcher has to follow while conducting the nursing research for ensuring the welfare and safety of the individuals or community under their study.

Importance of ethics in nursing research

These ethics are followed for the protection of the vulnerable groups in the society and other participants for the study to prevent harmful effects and experimental effects of the research conducted.

The participants are protected from the exploitation in the name of research.

The three ethical principles of nursing research is

· Principle of beneficence

· Principle of respect of human dignity

· Principle of justice

Principle of beneficence

This principle imposes the researchers to reduce the harm and to maximum the research benefits.

Principle of respect of human dignity

Each person is considered as positively valued and considering each individual equally important by showing respect and basic humanitarian consideration.

Principle of justice

Principe of justice is in which all samples or participants are treated impartially without making discrimination in the sex, wealth, race etc.

Knowledge acquisition and sharing

Knowledge acquisition is the process of finding, Gathering ad accumulating and refining the knowledge as part of upgrading the knowledge and implementing for a better purpose

The retrieval of information greatly depends upon the organization of information’s. Knowledge sharing is the process by which he acquired knowledge is passed to others trough a medium which is either published or transferred through verbal means or other mode of communications
