The main job responsibility of central service or sterile processing department manager are as follows- works with board to develop the annual departmental strategies, prepares budgets, manages staffing department, supervise and guides that team who manages sterile equipment processing, has roles for developing and maintaining quality processes, organize safety and sterile monitoring department, assure compliance and partnership with all accredited agencies and duties relates to professional development and training.

The manager plays a major role in performance improvement, they are the ones who idenitfy the areas of improvement by organizing the inspoection and close monitoring audits for the staff. The manager has role to develop the training programs and sterile monitoring programs for the new staff. The manager has responsibility to have external audits and work in order to improve the quality of services. Moreover, to improve the quality the manager has to provide and plan a change management and quality improvement plan where the changes are identified, vision is communicated, planned and implemented as per need.

Under the supervision of authorities I would like to bring some changes to the areas that need improvement, the legislative views and policies will be managed and implemented appropriately to include safety measures. The use of RIDDOR, OSHA rules will be applicable that would provide guidance for sterile management committee for safety of own self and others at the department. WIll try to enhance the performance by critical thinking and managing the resources as per the requirement. WIll try to incorporate the research findings, new interventions and technological advancements into the sterile management system and working.
