1. drive - ambitious, high desire for achievement , lots of energy and show intiative

2. desire to lead -strong desire to influence and lead others; willingness to take responsibility

3. honesty and integrity -build trusting relationship between themselves and followers by being truthful; consistency between word and deed

4. self-confidence - need to show this to convince followers of the rightness of their goals and decisions

5. intelligence - leaders need to gather, synthesize, interpret large amounts of information and create visions and solve problems and make correct decisions

6. job-relevant knowledge - high degree knowledge about company, industry so they are well informed to make decisions
