Answer #1

Differences between inpatient outpatient and observation patient include;

Inpatient care requires hospitalization that is overnight. Patients stay at the medical facility in the hospital for at least one night. During their stay, they remain under the supervision of a nurse or doctor.

Patients receiving outpatient care don’t need to spend a night in the hospital. They generally leave the doctor’s office, outpatient clinic or hospital after the procedure gets over.

Observation-care typically does not exceed 24 hours i.e. two calendar days.
