where:

M = sample mean
t = t statistic determined by confidence level and degree of freedom
s_M = standard error = √(s²/n)

t = 3.5
s_M = √(0.006²/8) = 0

μ = M ± t(s_M)
μ = 1.499 ± 3.5*0.002
