Qualities of a good board member

1.Relevant experience

The board member must have a relevant experience for decision making and for advising services.Aligning company's

objective with members experience will help the company in the long run.

2.Commitment

The members should be commited to his duty towards the company.Attending meetings,helping in decision making

interacting with the shareholders,management.

3.Supportive:

The board member should be supportive of the decision taken by other members and be encouraging them to be

participate in decisions.

4.Confidentiality:

The member should be able to maintain confidentiality of the company's decision and information.He should not indulge

in the sharing of personal and confidential information with others for his own interest.

5.Act in good faith

The member should act in good faith towards the company.He should keep company's interest above his interest and

not indulge in any unethical acts.
