Question

Custom problem B involves data analysis on a sample of size 30, which is best done using data analysis software. You are encouraged to use MATLAB, which can be found on all Windows computers in all ACCC computer labs on campus (see a full list here: https:laccc.uic edu/lablall). You can also download a student version for FREE here: https://webstore.illinois.edu/shop/product.aspx?zpid 3427 Another option is to use OctaveOnline (https:loctave-online.net), which uses the same syntax and has much of the same functionality as MATLAB (in my experience). Ifyou feel lost in using MATLAB, I strongly suggest to post questions to Piazza, as your classmates can help you, and it is beneficial for the rest of the class. Feel free to use another data analysis tool (such as Excel, as long it has the functionality to produce nice-looking histograms and perform basic statistical calculations). However, it is highly recommended you get comfortable using MATLAB, as later homework assignments will involve instructions using MATLAB B. A surveyor testing the accuracy of a GPS receiver records the following 30 observations of positions errors (in cm) 89.9104.0 93.7 94.4 86.015.8 95.3 90.7 88.0 121.8 97.4 95.2 101.4 98.2 97.5 11.4 101.6 103.3 97.1 78.7 85.775.0 107.5 106.6 103.0 111.5 99.8 104.4 97.3100.9 Compute the sample mean and median. [Hint: use the sort command in MATLAB.] Compute the sample standard deviation i. ii. ii. Produce a histogram plot of the data with a bin size of 10 (i.e. the first bin is 70 to 80, the second bin is 80 to 90, etc.). [Note: this can be sketched on paper or plotted using MATLAB. Either way, having the data sorted (see part i) is helpful.]

can you help me solve this statistics problem? I need the p-value. Thanks. (1 point) All Carroll statistics students are assigned to randomly select a sample of 40 people from the Helena community and measure how much time it takes them to solve a word search puzzle. Each student takes the average of the 40 times and submits this average The table below gives the distribution of these averages. The first bin contains all averages less than or equal to...

Can you please assist with this problem? An important application of regression analysis in accounting is in the estimation of cost. By collecting data on volume and cost and using the least squares method to develop an estimated regression equation relating volume and cost, an accountant can estimate the cost associated with a particular manufacturing volume. Consider the following sample of production voures and total cost data for a manufacturing operation Production Volume (units) Total Cost ($) 400 4,000 450...

Please solve the following problem and show all work. Thank you! You are a field engineer working for Far North Arctic Insulates Inc. Your company has come up with a new insulation material to be used under road beds to keep the permafrost from warming during the summer months. Since this material is quite costly, you want to be able to use the least amount of material (i.e. smallest thickness possible). You have collected the following temperature data in degrees-Fahrenheit)...
