Ans

Glomerular filtration rate is defined as the volume of fluid filtered from renal ( kidneys ) into the Bowman's capsule per unit time .

Blood Urea Nitrogen ( BUN ) is a medical test that detect the amount of urea nitrogen in the blood .

Creatinine is a chemical waste product in the blood that passes through the kidney to be filtered and eliminated in urine .

Blood Urea Nitrogen to creatinine ratio is measured to determine renal disease .

It can be

1) low in acute tubular necrosis

2) high in pre renal uremia

3) high with raised creatinine in post renal obstruction .
