1. Why does the OIG exclude individuals from health care? What impact would hiring an individual have on your long-term care facility?

The Office of Inspector General exclude individuals from heakth care due to the following reasons

• When there is no proper claims
• A claim submitted during the period of exclusion by an individual
• When the claim is found to be a fraud
• If a physician is in the excluded list,their prescription and orders will not be accepted
• it is also applicable to "excluded nurses,technicians, pharmacists, ambulance service drivers ,administrators,equipment supply,etc.,)In simple any healthcare professional and related employees and services which are excluded ,an individual getting service from them will be excluded from healthcare by OIG
