For 80th percentile,

P( Z< z) = 0.80

Use z table or z calculator, search for 0.80 probability in z table and see corresponding z value.

\thereforeP(Z < 0.84) = 0.80 .....approximately

( In table P(Z < 0.84) = 0.7995 nearly 0.80)

so, z = 0.84

so, required z score is 0.84
