Parish nursing is also known as faith community nursing. The type of nursing in which the medical healthcare a combined with spiritual care is called faith community nursing. Parish nurses are responsible for taking care of the health problems of individuals and families living in a community. The nurses focus on practicing spiritual fan along with nursing care. This nursing community has formed the association with American nursing association (ANA) in 2005. The faith community nursing can also collaborate with the Healthy People 2020 program to provide high-quality health care to all the individuals. It is a movement which has around 15000 nurses registered in the United States. The movement focuses on an integrative model of health promotion and disease prevention. The nurses focus on practicing faith along with nursing care.
