Would you be able to clearly monitor a person's electrocardiograph (ECG) if they were tensing their arm muscles? If not, explain the physical reason why.

Before doing ECG make sure that the patient is fully relaxed because if the patient is tense it can affect ECG, muscle tremor can be misinterpreted on diagnosis.

an electrocardiogram is tracking hearts electrical activity when it contracts on a moving graph paper. during an ecg tensed arm muscles can distrube the recording with their own electrical activity.
