Like physiology and psychology is different , understanding a person's physical and psychological development is an important parameter which should be assessed before providing care .

The developmental taks which are till middle childhood are interdependent then afterwards all tasks are independent .

Example - When I had my posting in pediatrics ward . I got a child who was 5years of age . She was admitted for fracture of her humerus . She was dependent on her parents because of the injury as well as due to age and development .
